Oscar Fuentes is a Tucsonan since 2009 who works as a singer, songwriter, performer, and recording engineer. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1968, he initiated his musical journey over three decades ago as a drummer and vocalist before becoming the lead singer for hard rock bands throughout the 1980s.
His artistic evolution led him toward solo work, where he began performing original compositions and covers at alternative venues, cultural centers, universities, and bars across Mexico. He maintains a particularly strong presence in Guadalajara’s music scene following extensive touring throughout the country.
Musically, Fuentes blends multiple genres into his performances: rock & roll to salsa, including pop, musica ranchera, and of course, some blues — an eclectic style that draws from diverse influences and traditions.
